AISI/SAE 1045 C45 Round Steel Bar Description
AISI 1045 steel is recognized for its good weldability, machinability, and high strength and impact properties in the normalized or hot-rolled condition. This medium carbon steel is engineered to perform effectively in applications requiring enhanced strength and hardness. Notably, it boasts excellent size accuracy, concentricity, and straightness, which collectively reduce wear in high-speed applications. AISI 1045 can be shaped into turned, ground, and polished bars that can be machined asymmetrically with minimal distortion.
