    The yield strength of 2205 Duplex stainless steel is more than double that of standard austenitic stainless steel, and it possesses the necessary plastic toughness for shaping. Storage tanks or pressure vessels made of duplex stainless steel can have a wall thickness 30-50% less than those made of commonly used austenitic steel, leading to cost reductions. Additionally, it exhibits excellent localized corrosion resistance, and compared to austenitic stainless steel with similar alloy content, it offers superior resistance to wear corrosion and fatigue corrosion. Under both dynamic and static load conditions, 2205 duplex stainless steel has a higher energy absorption capacity than austenitic stainless steel, providing significant advantages for structural components in coping with emergencies such as collisions and explosions.
