A36 Round Steel Bar Description
The steel bar primarily comprises iron, carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, and other elements, with iron constituting over 99% of the entire chemical composition. It features a relatively high carbon content, approximately 0.2%, ensuring the steel possesses a certain level of hardness and toughness. The addition of silicon, manganese, and other elements enhances the strength and toughness of the steel. With low levels of phosphorus and sulfur, the steel bar exhibits good welding performance and corrosion resistance.
A36 steel bar is utilized for welded, bolted, or riveted construction of bridges and buildings, as well as for general structural purposes. Due to its low yield point, A36 can be employed to design lighter-weight structures and equipment, while also offering good weldability.
