Toughened Epoxy Resin Coated Steel Bar

Epoxy resin coated steel bars are created by applying an epoxy resin protective coating to the surface of regular steel bars using an electrostatic spraying powder high-temperature sintering process. This coating offers outstanding chemical corrosion resistance and does not react with acids and alkalis. Additionally, it provides anti-permeability.

    The epoxy coated steel bars used in China adhere to national standards GB/T 25826-2010 and the Ministry of Housing and Construction standard JG/T 502-2016 (replacing JG 3042-1997). In the United States, the standards are ASTM A775/A775M and ASTM A934/A934M, while the British standard is BS ISO 14654. A comprehensive life cycle analysis demonstrates that the overall cost of epoxy coated steel bars is very low. Structures reinforced with epoxy coated steel bars have a longer lifespan compared to ordinary carbon steel concrete structures. The bar’s coating provides anti-permeability, effectively delaying the contact of corrosion mediums such as water, oxygen, and chloride with the steel, thereby significantly extending its corrosion resistance lifespan.
